Sustained improvements in spinal pain, morning stiffness, fatigue, sleep, physical function and overall health-related quality of life with bimekizumab in patients with axial spondyloarthritis: 2-year results from two phase 3 studies
CONCLUSIONS: Bimekizumab treatment resulted in sustained improvements in patient-reported symptoms and their impacts across the full disease spectrum of axSpA over 2 years, underscoring its long-term potential for improving patients’ daily lives.

Women with persistent atrial fibrillation need more than pulmonary vein isolation: personalised extra-pulmonary vein ablation strategy vs. pulmonary vein isolation alone in the TAILORED-AF trial
CONCLUSION: Compared to men, PVI-only in women with persistent AF leads to a significantly lower freedom from atrial arrhythmia. A personalised spatio-temporal dispersion-targeted ablation strategy led to a higher rate of freedom from any atrial arrhythmia than standard PVI after a single procedure in women and comparable outcomes between women and men.

Effective health management is essential for improving the self-management behaviors of brucellosis patients. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of a mobile health (mHealth) intervention based on the Health Action Process Approach (HAPA) model in enhancing self-management among brucellosis patients.

The prediction of phototherapy by early postnatal ETCOc in Chinese newborns
CONCLUSIONS: A higher early postnatal ETCOc is linked with an increased risk of PT and PT characteristics within 7 DOLs. Early postnatal ETCOc can be a valuable indicator for predicting PT in early postnatal period.

BACKGROUND: Brain-infiltrating tumour cells from high-grade glioma remain shielded from drug treatments by the blood-brain barrier, leading to inevitable recurrence. Microbubble-enhanced transcranial focused ultrasound (MB-FUS) enables controlled blood-brain barrier opening (BBBO), permitting localised drug delivery. A Randomized Clinical Trial Comparing Near-Infrared Imaging and Panoramic Radiography for Caries Detection
CONCLUSION: NIRI showed superior performance in early caries detection. Compared to panoramic radiography, NIRI is more sensitive and avoids ionizing radiation, making it safer and more comfortable. Its reliability and patient-friendly nature support its use as a promising tool in routine preventive dental care.

Pre-existing cardiovascular disease and hyperlipidemia and mortality in peritoneal dialysis patients
CONCLUSION: In patients undergoing CAPD, the coexistence of pre-existing cardiovascular disease and hyperlipidemia is associated with a significantly higher risk of all-cause mortality. This finding suggests that the comorbidity may contribute to worse long-term outcomes and highlights the importance of dyslipidemia management in clinical practice.
