The outcomes of patients with upper gastrointestinal tract cancer are poor, and early detection is critical. This study investigated the impact of standardized endoscopic imaging on the early detection rate of upper gastrointestinal tract cancers. A quasi-experimental study was conducted between July 2022 and July 2023. Four tertiary hospitals were randomized to the control and…

Diagnostic performance of linked color imaging compared to white light imaging during secondary endoscopic evaluation in patients with gastric neoplasia referred for endoscopic resection: A randomized…

CONCLUSIONS: This study highlights that KT127 has a manageable safety profile and shows preliminary biological activity in patients with advanced ovarian cancer, particularly those who have failed multiple lines of therapies.

CONCLUSIONS: the combination of kinesiotherapy and physical agents is more effective in reducing inter-rectus distance and abdominal circumference than either approach alone in postpartum women with diastasis recti abdominis.

CONCLUSIONS AND RELEVANCE: In this economic evaluation of smoking cessation treatment in LCS, 8-session counseling combined with 2 weeks of NRT was a cost-effective strategy, with a favorable ICQ relative to usual care and other treatment strategies evaluated. These findings are relevant for health systems considering integrating smoking cessation programs with LCS services.

CONCLUSIONS: Where evidence supports major intervention for an asymptomatic condition, patients are likely to accept the offer, although personal circumstances play an important role in decision-making. Where a condition is not well known to the public, such as AS, patients rely on clinicians and other resources to help decide. Liaison with patient groups in developing…

CONCLUSIONS: CDT may not fully address sensory deficits in patients with LLL. Balance issues appear to worsen with lymphedema progression regardless of treatment. However, CDT shows promise in improving kinesthesia.

Relapse to acute malnutrition after recovery from severe acute malnutrition (SAM) is common. However, most programmatic resources are devoted to the acute phase of recovery, and fewer interventions are available for children recently discharged from outpatient nutritional programs. We evaluated the feasibility of training caregivers to screen for relapse using mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC) tapes…

CONCLUSIONS: Implementation of Visitect CD4 testing demonstrated more rapid initiation of HIV therapy with equivalent 24-week survival and retention-in-care compared with other point-of-care CD4 strategies at equivalent cost. Despite its poor specificity, the Visitect CD4 platform remains a cost-neutral option compared to standard CD4 modalities.

CONCLUSIONS: Heat-sensitive moxibustion can reduce the incidence of chemotherapy-induced adverse reactions, alleviate gastrointestinal discomfort and bone marrow suppression, improve chemotherapy efficacy. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
