CONCLUSION: In large-core stroke, EVT was associated with significantly attenuated oedema progression between baseline and follow-up imaging. Reduced ischaemic water uptake was strongly associated with EVT benefit on 90-day functional outcome in mediation models, supporting oedema attenuation as a plausible mechanistic pathway of EVT benefit.

CONCLUSION: This study shows the potential of bacteriophages to be a highly promising modality with a unique mode of action for the treatment of acne. Beyond short-term lesion improvement, phage-induced enhancement of microbiome diversity suggests potential for durable, long-term skin health benefits.  .

CONCLUSION: These findings support the feasibility and educational value of integrating climate-health content into the national curriculum. Future research should examine the scalability of CHAMP and evaluate its long-term sustainability and effects across diverse educational settings.

Holter-ECG monitoring is a critical component of post-stroke diagnostics, guiding cardiac work-up and secondary stroke prevention. Abnormal ECG findings beyond atrial fibrillation (AF) in stroke patients remain understudied. The prospective multicenter MonDAFIS trial randomized patients with acute ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA) without known AF to Holter-ECG recording up to 7 days or…

Patients diagnosed with limited-stage small cell lung cancer (LS-SCLC) face dismal long-term outcomes, as relapse occurs frequently even after standard concurrent chemoradiotherapy. Integrating immune checkpoint blockade into chemoradiotherapy regimens may enhance sustained disease control, yet prospective evidence for this strategy in LS-SCLC remains sparse. In this single-arm phase II study, we investigated sintilimab in combination…

CONCLUSIONS AND RELEVANCE: In this randomized clinical trial, the web-based JEVaDA was not associated with a further reduction in decisional conflict compared with an active comparator but was associated with higher vaccine uptake. These findings suggest that decision aids can support informed, values-congruent choices in complex, preference-sensitive health decisions such as travel vaccination and beyond.

CONCLUSIONS: This benefit-risk assessment using 24-week Heads Up trial data considered all key benefits and risks and demonstrated a higher benefit-risk score for dupilumab than upadacitinib.

CONCLUSIONS: We developed and internally validated a prediction model incorporating fungal co-infection, admission glucose, antithrombin III, and interleukin-6 for early identification of septic shock risk in pediatric RSV bronchiolitis patients. The model demonstrated good discrimination (AUC 0.892) in this single-center cohort. However, given the modest sample size, external validation in larger, multicenter populations is essential…

CONCLUSIONS: Peripheral defocus spectacles significantly controlled axial elongation and reduced myopia incidence in premyopic children with insufficient hyperopic reserve. Three-month choroidal thickness changes represent a valid early predictive biomarker for treatment response, enabling personalized intervention by 3 months rather than waiting 12 months for conventional outcomes. Early choroidal thickening identifies optimal responders, supporting choroidal perfusion…

CONCLUSION: The clinical effect of prehospital non-invasive ventilation could not be determined due to early termination. This trial highlights important challenges relevant to future clinical trials in the prehospital setting, including patient selection, diagnostic requirements and implementation of complex interventions.
