Effects of VIVIFRAIL intervention on multidimensional frailty in older nursing home residents: a randomised-controlled feasibility study
CONCLUSIONS: The VIVIFRAIL exercise program was determined to be feasible for older adults residing in nursing homes and significantly improved frailty status, health indicators, ADLs and QOL. These findings support the incorporation of structured exercise interventions as an essential component of routine care provided by health-care professionals in nursing home settings. →

CONCLUSION: BIIB091 was well tolerated at single doses up to 1200 mg and repeated doses up to 300 mg BID, showing dose-linear PK and sustained effective B cell activation suppression. CONCLUSION: Abdominal moxibustion at the Zhongji (CV3), combined with Yiqi Tonglin Yangyin decoction and antibiotics for treating complicated urinary tract infections in elderly women, can effectively improve the clinical symptoms, TCM syndromes, and immune function of patients. Additionally, it can reduce oxidative stress, promote patient recovery, and lower the recurrence rate with pronounced comprehensive efficacy. →

Impact of body mass index on the efficacy of acupuncture treatment of postprandial distress syndrome: secondary analysis of a randomized clinical trial
CONCLUSION: This subgroup analysis indicated that acupuncture improved PDS symptoms across different BMI categories. Acupuncture was suggested as a viable therapeutic option for patients with PDS, particularly those with a higher BMI. →

Beneficial effects of Huanglian Jiedu decoction ( ) on metabolic syndrome: a prospective randomized controlled clinical trial
CONCLUSION: It can be concluded that HLJDD contributes to ameliorating metabolic disorders in individuals suffering from metabolic syndrome. The data also imply that the beneficial effects of HLJDD on metabolism might be attributed to its role in enhancing FGF-21 secretion, which is otherwise compromised due to metabolic inflammation. →

Does Oral Chromium Withstand Steroid Hyperglycemia in Postinterventional Ultrasound-guided Sacroiliac Joint Injections in Patients With Diabetes: A Double Blind Randomized Controlled Trial
CONCLUSIONS: Chromium supplementation improves glycemic control and reduces analgesic dependence in patients with diabetes who had an SIJ injection. Chromium supplementation therapy is a safe and cost-effective adjunct to standard diabetes management. →

Photobiomodulation in wounds of individuals with diabetes: a nonrandomized pilot study
CONCLUSION: Application of photobiomodulation at an intensity of 2 J/cm² once a week did not produce measurable changes in cytokine gene expression. However, significant reduction in wound area and improvement in tissue repair were observed in patients treated with photobiomodulation. →
