Efficacy and safety of dapagliflozin in patients hospitalized with COVID-19 with and without type 2 diabetes: a prespecified analysis of the DARE-19 randomized trial
CONCLUSIONS: Initiating dapagliflozin in patients hospitalized for acute COVID-19 was well tolerated and safe, irrespective of T2D status. Serum biomarker levels remained stable and comparable between treatment groups, indicating no increased risk of adverse metabolic or renal effects with dapagliflozin in this clinical scenario. →

Efficacy of superior laryngeal nerve block in reducing retching during transesophageal echocardiography: a randomized controlled trial
CONCLUSIONS: Bilateral iSLN block significantly reduces the incidence of retching and oropharyngeal mucosal bleeding, while improving patient comfort, increasing the rapid TEE probe insertion rate, and stabilizing MAP during TEE examination. Effect of nasal mask oxygenation on incidence of hypoxemia during gastroscopy with propofol sedation in patients at risk of hypoxemia: a prospective randomized controlled study
CONCLUSION: In patients with obesity or OSA, nasal mask oxygenation during gastroscopy with propofol sedation significantly reduced the incidences of hypoxemia, subclinical respiratory depression, and severe hypoxemia without increasing other adverse events. →
