CONCLUSION: Probiotics were found to support periodontal healing, and this effect was significantly enhanced by a personalized anti-inflammatory diet. It is recommended that probiotics and balanced nutrition be integrated into a holistic approach in the treatment of periodontitis.

CONCLUSION: While all three tools performed better than random chance, none demonstrated convincing discriminative ability in identifying psychiatric comorbidities. In practice, screening tools can identify a substantial proportion of patients with mental disorders, however at the cost of a considerable number of false negatives.

Spinal needles versus conventional needles for fine-needle aspiration biopsy of thyroid nodules-A multicenter randomized controlled trial
CONCLUSIONS: No significant improvement was found using spinal needles with a stylet compared to conventional needles. Given the significantly higher cost of spinal needles and comparable diagnostic outcomes, their routine use for thyroid FNAB is not recommended.

CONCLUSIONS AND RELEVANCE: This secondary analysis of a cluster-randomized clinical trial suggests that the cost of the PARENT intervention was offset by savings in non-WCV health care utilization, and revenue for federally qualified health centers from increased WCV attendance could fund ongoing intervention costs.

Multi-institutional, randomized, controlled trial to assess the efficacy and tolerability of a reusable, self-contained cryotherapy delivery device
CONCLUSIONS: CMP use for 14 days following chemotherapy infusion mitigated chemotherapy-associated OP and AU. The effect was seen over two cycles of treatment with known stomatotoxic agents having both short and long half-lives. The device was well tolerated.

Prognostic factors associated with primary non-responsiveness to antibiotics and appendicitis recurrence for CT-diagnosed uncomplicated acute appendicitis: secondary analysis of two randomized clinical trials
CONCLUSION: Patients with an appendiceal diameter ≥15 mm and a body temperature >38°C may not be optimal candidates for non-operative treatment for uncomplicated acute appendicitis. Patients with CRP <100 mg/l at 24 h of antibiotic treatment for uncomplicated acute appendicitis have a 99% likelihood of successful antibiotic therapy.

Levels of several inflammatory cytokines in acne patients before and after isotretinoin therapy: a randomized, controlled clinical trial
