CONCLUSION: aPRP is both safe and more effective than conventional treatments for moderate to severe symptomatic DED.

CONCLUSION: Rose bengal-mediated a-PDT, combined with mechanical debridement, showed superior efficacy in managing peri-implantitis by significantly improving clinical, microbiological, and biochemical outcomes. This approach presents a promising adjunctive therapy for enhanced peri-implantitis management.

INTRODUCTION: Obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) affects 1-5% of the paediatric population, including 55-90% of children with Down syndrome (DS), and has been associated with negative effects on neurocognitive development, cardiovascular health, immune development and quality of life. In-lab attended polysomnography (PSG) is currently the gold standard for the diagnosis of OSA in children, but it…

Surgery of the pancreas has come a long way since its inception; however, postoperative morbidity is still high. Pancreatic leaks and fistulas are common complications in patients undergoing surgery to remove the pancreas. Fistulas delay subsequent oncological care after surgery and prolong the hospital stay. Hypoperfusion of the pancreas has been proposed as one factor…

CONCLUSIONS: Our trial shows noninferior outcomes in patients 18 to 60 years of age with newly diagnosed AML treated with low- versus high-dose cytarabine; this occurred with similar or lower toxicities. (Funded by the Regional Clinical Research Office, Angers and others; EudraCT number, 2014-000699-24; ClinicalTrials.gov number, NCT02416388.).

CONCLUSION: Although patients receive an early etiological diagnosis, the cost-utility after 6 months is not favorable for amyloid-PET. The cost-utility will need to be reassessed when considering amyloid-PET to select patients for anti-amyloid biologics.

CONCLUSIONS: Tumor size at diagnosis remained an independent prognostic factor in patients with TNBC and HER2-positive breast cancer with RD after NAST. In contrast, patients achieving pCR had excellent outcomes regardless of initial disease extent, supporting the relevance of pCR as a surrogate endpoint in breast cancer.

BACKGROUND Monitoring nociception is extraordinarily challenging during general anesthesia. This study aimed to observe pupillary dilation reflex by ultrasound and determine whether ultrasonic pupillary parameters are correlated with sufentanil dose during the induction period of general anesthesia. MATERIAL AND METHODS We enrolled 93 patients undergoing general anesthesia. They were randomly divided into 3 groups -…

CONCLUSION: Neoadjuvant PROSTVAC in combination with nivolumab is associated with increased intratumoral T-cell infiltrates, increased circulating tumor-associated antigen-specific T cells, and with radiographic and biochemical responses in the mCRPC setting. Our findings support the idea that the addition of a vaccine to a tumor-associated antigen might improve the clinical activity of immune checkpoint inhibition.

CONCLUSION: A combined therapeutic diet and physical activity program effectively improved body composition and biochemical parameters in recreational athletes with T2DM. This combined approach could be recommended as an integral strategy for diabetes management in physically active individuals.
