Results of treatment of acute uncomplicated cystitis in 440 women of working age in a large industrial city
CONCLUSIONS: Currently, even in unfavorable environmental and climatic conditions, fosfomycin trometamol remains a highly effective and safe antibacterial agent for the treatment of acute uncomplicated cystitis. It is recommended to combine the use of fosfomycin trometamol with a urinary analgetic drug and herbal preparation based on extracts of centaury, lovage and rosemary (Kanefron N).

Comparison of the effects of pemafibrate and omega-3 fatty acid ethyl on fatty liver index in patients with dyslipidemia treated with statin: a sub-analysis from the PROUD48 study
CONCLUSIONS: Pemafibrate is superior to omega-3 fatty acid ethyl in lowering effects of FLI and MASLD in patients with dyslipidemia receiving statin treatment, suggesting that pemafibrate is a beneficial agent for hypertriglyceridemia and reduction of the risk for MASLD.

Appropriate semantic qualifiers increase diagnostic accuracy when using a clinical decision support system: a randomized controlled trial
CONCLUSIONS: Medical students may make more accurate diagnoses using the CDSS if appropriate SQs are set. Improving students’ ability to set appropriate SQs may improve the effectiveness of CDSS use.

Effectiveness of Internet-Based Emotion-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (iECBT) with and without husband’s participation in improvement of psychological distress in pregnant women with anxiety disorders: a randomized controlled trial
CONCLUSION: As iECBT with the husband’s participation was not superior to iECBT alone, further studies should evaluate proper strategies to increase men’s effective role in the treatment of their pregnant partners with psychological disorders.

Akita Japan population-based colonoscopy screening trial: report of initial colonoscopy
CONCLUSIONS: Adequate performance in compliance, ADR, and safety was confirmed in the intervention arm of the RCT evaluating the efficacy of screening colonoscopy. The high quality of screening colonoscopy observed in the trial suggests its feasibility as a population-based screening approach.

Effect of drama-education for alcohol/substance user on attitudes toward violence against women: randomized controlled design
CONCLUSION: The findings suggest that creative drama education may have a beneficial effect on improving attitudes toward VAW among men with alcohol and substance use disorders. Further studies with larger and more diverse samples are recommended to confirm the generalizability and long-term impact of this approach.

Effects of an interprofessional care concept in nursing homes evaluated in the SaarPHIR project: A cluster-randomized controlled trial
CONCLUSION: All-cause hospitalization was not significantly affected in the relatively short duration of the intervention. Nevertheless, secondary outcomes suggest some positive effects for the intervention group. However, participation in the intervention group was lower than expected at both the nursing home and resident levels, limiting the validity of the results.

Comparison of two maneuvers to identify Carnett’s sign in patients with chronic abdominal pain. Randomized controlled clinical trial
CONCLUSION: The two ways of exploring the Carnett sign have similar efficacy. Infiltration with 2% lidocaine produced rapid and significant improvement of pain with minimal side effects. Not knowing the Carnett sign increases health costs.
