CONCLUSIONS/APPLICATIONS: Our case series suggests superior pain control by adding Buprenorphine prior to opioid dose escalation during BMT for SCD. Buprenorphine may provide the advantageous effect for other patients with complex pain background and experiencing difficult pain management during BMT due to pre-existing hyperalgesia and high opioid-tolerance. The evidence for buprenorphine’s analgesic effect is moderate…
CONCLUSIONS: In this study, we could not identify any specific iCBT components that were effective in preventing depression or the acquisition of CBT skills over the 12-month follow-up period, but all participants with and without intervention of each iCBT component demonstrated significant improvements in depressive and anxiety symptoms. Further research is needed to explore the…
CONCLUSIONS: The pharmacy intervention protocol effectively improved medication adherence and optimised medication regimens in diabetic patients with chronic medication regimens in an ambulatory healthcare centre.
CONCLUSION: On-treatment biopsies can predict patients unlikely to achieve pCR post-therapy. This could facilitate therapy adjustments for TNBC or HER2 + BC. They also might offer insights into therapy resistance mechanisms. Future research should explore whether standardized or expanded sampling enhances the accuracy of on-treatment biopsy procedures. Trial registration GeparQuattro (EudraCT 2005-001546-17), GeparQuinto (EudraCT 2006-005834-19)…
INTRODUCTION: Germany and the European Union have experienced successive waves of refugees since 2014, resulting in over 1.6 million arrivals, including families with young children. These vulnerable populations often face xenophobia, discrimination, substandard living conditions and limited healthcare access, contributing to a high prevalence of mental health problems (MHP). Our primary goal is to proactively…
INTRODUCTION: This study evaluates the efficacy of integrating percutaneous electrical nerve stimulation at the pericardium 6 (PC6) acupuncture point through a wearable acustimulation device with standard pharmacological prophylaxis to prevent postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) compared with pharmacological prophylaxis alone in patients undergoing laparoscopic abdominal surgery.
CONCLUSION: Our findings suggest that brief stabilization sessions are safe treatment options for acute PTSD (KCT0001918).
CONCLUSIONS AND RELEVANCE: This randomized clinical trial of an in-home, voice-activated CBT-I program among breast cancer survivors found that the intervention improved insomnia symptoms. Future studies may explore how this program can be taken to scale and integrated into ambulatory care.
CONCLUSIONS: Implementation of HB-PrEP into a high-volume sexual health clinic seems to be feasible and acceptable to early RCT enrollees. This strategy has the potential to address individual and systemic barriers associated with initiating and persisting on PrEP, such as increasing sexual health agency and expanding clinical capacity to serve greater numbers of PrEP users.
CONCLUSION: The results showed that using guided imagery could decrease anxiety levels in patients undergoing MRI. Since patients’ anxiety is one of the most important nursing diagnoses, performing cognitive methods, including guided imagery, as a simple, safe, inexpensive, and effective intervention should be considered.
