INTRODUCTION: Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is a common mental disorder that often begins in adolescence or early adulthood and is characterized by widespread and persistent anxiety. Partial sleep deprivation (PSD) is an important risk factor for GAD development and a common comorbidity. Adolescence is a period of rapid brain and nervous system development, and during…
CONCLUSIONS: Each of insulin, C-peptide, IRS, and HbA1c were associated with incident T2D with the strongest association noted for HbA1c. While HbA1c was significantly associated with CVD risk, a novel IRS appears to be associated with CHD risk. Neither vitamin D nor n-3 FA modified the associations between these biomarkers and cardiometabolic outcomes.
CONCLUSION: The probiotic compounds investigated in this study did not seem to affect IBS-D patients’ gut barrier function, but showed potential anti-inflammatory and symptom-improving properties, which need to be confirmed in larger study cohorts.

CONCLUSION: Combining PSSE and MT shows potential benefits in alleviating AIS symptoms and improving QOL. Further studies to substantiate these findings are warranted.
CONCLUSION: The within-trial economic evaluation suggested that people with post-COVID-19 condition after hospitalisation should be offered a programme of physical and mental health rehabilitation as it likely reflects a cost-effective use of NHS resources. Hospitalisation for COVID-19 has become less commonplace: further evaluation in non-hospitalised patients may be worthwhile.
CONCLUSION: In patients with delirium, higher albumin levels were associated with shorter hospital stays but not with delirium duration or severity.
INTRODUCTION: Administration of spinal cord stimulation to individuals with PSPS-T1/2 may induce supraspinal descending activation. Similarly, exercise is recognized as a fundamental aspect of spinal pain management. Studies have demonstrated its impact on neurophysiological factors, including the release of spinal and supraspinal beta-endorphins, which activate μ-opioid receptors. Therefore, the purpose of this study will be…
OBJECTIVES: The objective of this study was to estimate the incidence, timing, and type of new cancer diagnosis among patients with cryptogenic stroke.
CONCLUSIONS: The online teaching-back method, guided by King’s Theory of Goal Attainment, effectively enhances glycemic control, reducing fasting plasma glucose, 2-hour postprandial glucose, and hemoglobin A(1c) levels in newly diagnosed patients with type 2 diabetes. Simultaneously, it alleviates hypoglycemia-related anxiety and mitigates alexithymia. This approach merits widespread promotion and implementation in clinical settings.
