CONCLUSION: The turning-based NIDTC exhibited the highest responsiveness for identifying gait automaticity improvement by providing a comprehensive representation of motor ability during dual tasks. It has great potential as a valid measure for early-stage PD diagnosis and rehabilitation assessment. Trial registration Chinese Clinical Trial Registry: ChiCTR2300067657.
CONCLUSIONS: The PREVENIR-PEV prevention package integrated into existing care is safe and its implementation is feasible in a LMIC with a low HIV prevalence. More research is needed to target mother/infant pairs not adhering to the intervention proposed in this trial.
CONCLUSION: Targeted induction therapies combining lenalidomide or ibrutinib with R-MPV are feasible for first-line PCNSL. The safety profile is consistent with the known safety profiles of R-MPV and both targeted therapies. The phase II part of the study is ongoing.
CONCLUSION: This study suggests that αGPC is a safe and effective intervention for improving cognitive function in study subjects with mild cognitive impairment.
CONCLUSION: The CDK4/6 inhibitor palbociclib at 75 mg/m² orally daily was tolerable in this heavily pretreated cohort. No objective responses were observed in this histology-agnostic biomarker-selected population with treatment-refractory solid tumors, demonstrating that pathway alteration alone is insufficient in pediatric cancers to generate a response to palbociclib monotherapy.
Chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) is a rare blood cancer of older adults (3 in every 1,000,000 persons) characterized by poor survival and lacking effective mutation-specific therapy. Mutations in the ubiquitin ligase Cbl occur frequently in CMML and share biological and molecular features with a clonal disease occurring in children, juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML). Here we…
CONCLUSION: This nationwide study was successful at identifying patients and evaluating the efficacy of molecularly targeted therapy for rare molecular subgroups of patients in a histology-agnostic fashion. Unfortunately, there was no activity of samotolisib against tumors with PI3K/mTOR pathway alterations. Prospective trials such as the NCI-COG Pediatric MATCH are necessary to evaluate the efficacy of…
BACKGROUND: Knee osteoarthritis affects the performance of daily activities, independence, and quality of life. The etiopathogenesis of this condition considers the mechanisms of activation of metalloproteinase and reactive oxygen species production pathways. Metalloproteinases-3 (MMP-3) and Glutathione Peroxidase (GPx) may be responsible for cartilage destruction. Aquatic physiotherapy promotes a positive impact on the clinical picture of…
Background: Antimicrobial Photodynamic therapy for the treatment of periodontitis is being increasingly gaining attention but at present, very limited data are available on the clinical and microbiological outcomes obtained following Indocyanine Green as the photosensitizer in Maintenance patients. The objective was to evaluate the efficiency of Indocyanine(ICG)-green based photodynamic therapy as an adjunct to scaling…
CONCLUSION: Wet cupping therapy can be an efficient therapeutic method to ameliorate respiratory complications of asthma patients.
