Efficacy of photobiomodulation for the prevention and treatment of chemotherapy-induced oral mucositis in pediatric patients with hematologic cancers: a randomized clinical trial
CONCLUSION: PBM appears to be a safe and effective approach for the prevention of MTX-induced OM in pediatric patients with hematologic cancers. Additionally, PDT using ICG and a low-level laser demonstrates promising results in treating OM lesions. Therefore, these findings highlight the efficacy of PBM for managing MTX-induced OM in this patient group.

Prognostic value of plasma biomarkers for informing clinical trial design in mild-to-moderate Alzheimer’s disease
CONCLUSIONS: Elevated baseline plasma NfL predicted more rapid clinical decline and MRI volume loss. Furthermore, increasing plasma NfL concentration over time was associated with worsening on the CDR-SB. Plasma NfL is an easily accessible biomarker that may enhance the design of clinical trials in mild-to-moderate AD.

The effect of collagen sponge placed in the socket after surgical extraction of mandibular third molars on the incidence of alveolar osteitis: a split mouth randomized controlled trial
CONCLUSION: Intra-alveolar application of collagen sponge following surgical extraction of IL3rdM significantly reduced post-operative pain on days 3 and 7. Moreover, it can minimally decrease the incidence of AO.

Modified Borg Scale (mBorg), the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS), and the Dyspnea- 12 Scale (D- 12): cross-scale comparison assessing the development of dyspnea in early-stage lung cancer patients
CONCLUSION: This study highlights interscale concordance and key contributors to breathlessness in operable early-stage lung cancer patients. All three scales validly measure dyspnea, with the D-12 and NRS offering a holistic assessment by including affective-dyspnea scores.
