CONCLUSIONS: We expect exercise to improve lower limb muscle strength and overall health outcomes compared to the waitlist control group. Results will contribute foundational knowledge needed to conduct larger-phase clinical trials testing the clinical benefits of prehabilitation exercise in this patient population. This study will provide insight into a prehabilitative exercise intervention designed to support…
CONCLUSIONS: The study aims to determine if adding aPDT significantly improves the management of apical periodontitis and overall success rates of endodontic treatment. The results will provide insights into the effectiveness of aPDT as an adjunctive treatment and its potential benefits in clinical practice.
Purpose To compare the acquisition time, image quality, and late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) visualization and quantification on phase-sensitive inversion recovery (PSIR) images using 5.0-T versus 3.0-T cardiac MRI. Materials and Methods In this prospective crossover study, 49 participants (mean ± SD age, 43.7 years ± 13.1; 39 men) suspected or diagnosed with nonischemic cardiomyopathy were…
CONCLUSIONS: The AI QC method, more cost-effective than the manual method, shows great potential for application in image QC scenarios. The AI QC can enhance operators’ skills in perinatal ultrasound screening, while the manual method can only maintain the existing level.
CONCLUSIONS: Compared with negative pressure extubation, positive pressure extubation can effectively reduce extubation related complications in ICU mechanically ventilated patients. It is beneficial to maintain stable blood oxygen saturation within 30 minutes after extubation, and has better clinical application effects. It is recommended to use low pressure extubation.
BACKGROUND: Mobile-based screening interventions to detect and treat Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) at an early stage might be a promising approach for reducing its societal burden. In the present study, we will evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of screening for MDD using a mobile-based screening protocol.
CONCLUSION: This study demonstrates the feasibility and acceptability of a gratitude journaling intervention among Black BC survivors. The intervention significantly enhanced spiritual well-being and showed promise in improving exercise self-efficacy, suggesting its potential for promoting holistic wellness in this population. These findings provide a foundation for future larger-scale randomized controlled trials to further evaluate the…
CONCLUSIONS: Goal-directed perceptual-motor physical training with cognitive aspects may enhance academic performance, social participation, and life quality for children with SLD by improving basic motor skills. Therefore, the inclusion of physical and task-specific perceptual-motor exercises in educational programs may offer several avenues for cognitive skill development in SLD children.
CONCLUSION: CaP-TB increased TB investigations in both study countries and markedly enhanced TB case detection in one, underlining integrated TB services’ potential to address paediatric TB underdiagnosis.
BACKGROUND: In 2021, over one million children developed tuberculosis, resulting in 214 000 deaths, largely due to inadequate diagnosis and treatment. The diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis is limited in most high-burden countries because services are highly centralised at secondary/tertiary levels and are managed in a vertical, non-integrated way. To improve case detection and treatment…
